While dish soap and other household cleaners can keep your sink sparkling clean, it's not enough for the buildup and stains on your rubber splash guard. And those foaming disposal tablets don't even touch the flaps. That flexible rubber surface holds onto:

  • Grease and food debris
  • Odor-causing bacteria
  • Mold and residue
  • Deep-set stains that ordinary cleaners leave behind

Most cleansers aren't designed for this material. FreshFlap™ is.

Designed Specifically for Garbage Disposal Splash Guards

FreshFlap™ is the first cleaner made specifically for kitchen sink splash guards, the rubber flaps that hold onto grease, odor and stains. Formulated from 100% natural ingredients, FreshFlap™ is engineered to:

  • Cling to rubber surfaces

If It Has a Disposal, It Needs FreshFlap™

Whether it's your own kitchen, the rental you manage, or the home you're turning over, a grungy garbage disposal splash guard is a detail that can undercut everything else you've done to make the space shine.

Until now, the only fix was replacing the splash guard entirely, a hassle that's often harder and costlier than it sounds. Using FreshFlap™ is now the best way to clean a garbage disposal.

Instead of buying a new baffle/splash guard replacement, try FreshFlap™. The first disposal cleaner made specifically to clean and refresh it.

Step 2 - SCRUB

With water still OFF, use a scrub brush, sponge, or old toothbrush to scrub the product into both sides of the flap and surrounding drain area to break up dirt, grease, and buildup. Add more FreshFlap™ if needed.

Step 3 - RINSE

Rinse thoroughly. If buildup is heavy, repeat the process beginning with Step 1.

💡 Pro Tip: Use once a month to keep your disposal fresh and stop buildup before it starts.

⚠️ Never use while the disposal is running.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the water have to be off?

The FreshFlap™ gel is thick and sticky so that it can grab onto the surface of the splash guard to pull up stains and grime. If the water is on, it instantly dilutes the gel and makes it less effective.

Do I have to scrub it?

Yes, you will need to gently scrub the flaps to work the product in to loosen the grime and lift the stains. It won't "dissolve" the grime on contact.

How often should I clean my garbage disposal splash guard?

For best results, use once per month or as needed for garbage disposal odor and stain control. But it can be used daily.

Is it safe for septic systems?

Yes. When used as directed, FreshFlap™ is safe for standard plumbing and septic systems.

What if my disposal flap is removable?

Even better! Remove the rubber flap (it's also called a "baffle") by pulling it out, and use FreshFlap™ to clean it exactly the same.

Will it damage my disposal?

No. It’s formulated specifically for rubber splash guards and disposal-safe use.

Can I use it on stainless steel sinks?

Yes, it's safe for sinks, but it's designed to lift grime and stains from rubber splash guards.

What are the ingredients?

Our non-toxic formula is made of 100% natural ingredients. They are a proprietary blend of citric acid, glycerol, and limonene. It is completely safe for all food prep areas. FreshFlap™ gel is sticky enough to grab onto the grimy particles of the rubber sink splash guard, but will easily dissolve with water to rinse clean away on any surface.
